The Vision Detroit
The Vision Detroit is a nonprofit creative organization whose mission is to bridge the gap between the public and Detroit's artist community. As one of the three founders of this organization, one of my roles is to manage our visual identity.
The objective was to create a logo and an evolving brand identity to use for our new organization.

As a team, we quickly came up with the idea of using an old-fashioned TV set as our brandmark. Our organization is to be a gateway between the community and the wider artist community.
Up until recently with the widespread popularity of smartphones and social media, television was the medium of choice for many people to experience new things. The television acted as a gateway to viewing things across the world. This was a perfect way of illustrating what The Vision is; we are your gateway to the mystical world of the arts.



The focus of the brand is to showcase and spotlight the artists that we interact with. They are the stars and we want to give them the attention that they deserve. When working on the identity we made a very clear decision to focus on clear photography that highlighted the artists.
