The Emotional Little Strawberry
This project started as a class assignment in my digital design course. The objective was to showcase technical proficiency in our chosen software by creating an emoji like design. In this case I chose Photoshop and Illustrator. We had full creative control, with just one requirement: the design needed something that could work as a sticker.
I initially began with a single drawing of a confident strawberry, complete with glasses, but I had so much fun that I decided to expand the idea into a full set. The final collection featured four emotions: angry, surprised/fearful, happy, and confident.

Mockup Creation
To ensure consistency across all the designs, I created a base strawberry shape in Adobe Illustrator. I developed each facial expression separately, so I could focus on one element at a time while maintaining a cohesive look. I used both real and cartoon expressions as references to make sure the emotions were clear and easily recognizable. I traced over my pencil and Photoshop sketches using Illustrator’s pen and pencil tools, giving the designs a clean, vectorized finish.
After completing the four strawberries, I went the extra mile and created mockups to show how the designs would look in real-world applications. This helped demonstrate that my designs could work effectively as stickers or on various products.
